Job summary

Delve Search - Global Search Consultants is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Hamburg to support CMP systems for a leading international manufacturer of precision semiconductor equipment. You will join an international customer support team, install, maintain and troubleshoot on-site, train customers, and have routes to grow into a site-lead role.

You will travel across France, the UK, and Northern Germany as needed, with on-site work and ongoing training to develop expertise in high-tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience installing or servicing complex industrial equipment.
• Semiconductor experience is not essential.
• Fluent English is essential; German a strong advantage.

Are you a hands-on service engineer who wants more autonomy, a stronger team and a role at the forefront of high-tech manufacturing?

We are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer on behalf of a leading international manufacturer of precision semiconductor equipment. This is a brand-new role in Hamburg, supporting the company's CMP systems, which are key to producing advanced chips.

The Opportunity

You will join an international Customer Support team as a key technical expert on complex semiconductor production equipment, reporting directly to the Service Manager in Germany.

• Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain and support CMP systems on-site, often as part of a small team of engineers on larger installations and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshooting: Carry out functional testing and fault diagnosis independently, and implement hardware and software modifications.
• Customer Interface: Train customers in operating and maintaining the systems, and act as the face of the company on site.
• Continuous Improvement: Spot and communicate opportunities to improve equipment performance, working with the wider European service team and international colleagues.
• Real Training, No Sink-or-Swim: Learn on the job alongside experienced engineers. You'll never be sent out alone, and you'll typically work independently after 6–9 months, with further training opportunities along the way.
• Room to Grow: Clear routes to progress, including taking on a site-lead role coordinating engineers at customer sites.

What You Bring

• Technical Background: A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Service Experience: Hands‑on experience installing, servicing or supporting complex industrial equipment. Semiconductor experience is not essential.
• Customer Skills: You are confident dealing directly with customers, communicate openly and es?
• Mindset: Analytical, structured and happy troubleshooting independently, with the ambition to grow into more responsibility over time.
• Travel Flexibility: Willing to travel regularly across France, the UK and Northern Germany. A valid driving licence is essential.
• Languages: Fluent English is essential. German is a strong advantage.
