Job summary

Specialist Irish Electrical Engineering Contractor is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to lead on-site delivery of specialist electrical packages for major data centre and industrial projects in Germany. You will coordinate labour, materials and schedules with the Project Manager, ensuring safety, quality and timely completion.

Based in Germany, you will oversee lightning protection, earthing and surge protection works while managing subcontractors and installation teams across sites.

This Irish engineering contractor delivers specialist electrical infrastructure packages across major data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial and commercial construction projects throughout Europe.
With a strong pipeline of projects in Germany, they are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of specialist electrical installations.
The company offers experienced site teams, a strong focus on safety and quality, and long-term opportunities across European construction projects.
The Role: Electrical Construction Manager
As Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of specialist electrical infrastructure packages on major construction projects in Germany.
Working closely with the Project Manager, main contractor, site supervisors and subcontractors, you will coordinate labour, materials, installation activities and programme delivery to ensure works progress safely and efficiently.
The role involves overseeing lightning protection, earthing and surge protection installations, managing site operations and ensuring all works are completed to specification and the required quality standards.
Must Have Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Electrical Construction Manager or Senior Site Manager on major construction projects
• Strong background in electrical installations or specialist construction packages
• Experience managing site supervisors, installation teams, subcontractors and construction programmes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and installation requirements
• Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements and site management procedures
• Preferred Experience Knowledge of lightning protection, earthing or surge protection systems
• Previous experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or major commercial construction projects
• Experience managing specialist electrical packages for main contractors
• Previous experience working on European construction projects
• German language skills would be beneficial but are not essential

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day construction activities and delivery of specialist electrical infrastructure packages
• Manage lightning protection, earthing and surge protection installations across site
• Coordinate site supervisors, installation teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers
• Plan and allocate labour, materials, equipment and resources to meet programme requirements
• Monitor construction progress and ensure installation works are completed to agreed deadlines
• Work closely with the Project Manager and main contractor to coordinate site activities and resolve construction issues
• Review technical drawings, specifications and installation requirements before works commence
• Ensure all installations comply with approved drawings, quality standards and health and safety requirements
• Coordinate with other trades to manage site access, sequencing and installation interfaces
• Identify programme risks, site constraints and technical issues and implement corrective actions
• Carry out regular site inspections, progress meetings and quality reviews
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and installation documentation
• Support testing, inspections, snagging and final project handover

About You

• You will be an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in electrical installations or specialist construction packages.
• Previous experience managing electrical works on data centre, pharmaceutical or industrial construction projects would be particularly beneficial. Knowledge of lightning protection, earthing or surge protection systems would also be an advantage.
• You should be comfortable managing subcontractors, coordinating multiple installation teams and working closely with main contractors to maintain programme delivery, safety and quality standards.
• Strong site leadership, organisation and the ability to resolve construction issues are essential.
