Application of AI in the Development and Manufacturing of Perovskite Semiconductor Materials – Part‑time 75 %

Join us at KIT in shaping the future of renewable energy through cutting‑edge research at the intersection of perovskite photovoltaics and machine learning. Your contribution will be crucial in developing and optimizing innovative materials and processes for high‑efficiency solar cells.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Research on AI methods for materials discovery and scalable manufacturing processes in perovskite photovoltaics.
  • Designing and conducting laboratory experiments.
  • Creating comprehensive experimental datasets.
  • Applying machine learning methods (e.g., neural networks) to analyze, interpret, and optimize complex experimental processes.
  • Supporting project work and coordinating laboratory infrastructure.
  • Assisting in teaching activities.
  • Publishing research results in scientific journals and presenting at conferences.

The position offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD alongside your work.

You have:
  • An excellent Master’s degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor physics or optoelectronics.
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Experience with AI methods is an advantage.
