Your Mission

You enjoy working at the intersection of Data Science and Back End Engineering. You are accustomed to working in the realms of time series prediction and forecasting with a deep appreciation of data analysis and what it means to the business. BUT you are no stranger to coding Python on a daily basis.

What You'll Be Working On

Reporting directly to the CTO you'll join a small but growing founding tech team of 4 consisting of senior engineers. You'll become the expert on our Data Engine and the PartsOS platform in general.

• Data science meets engineering: Implement algorithms for our planning and optimization engine and ensure data flows cleanly with robust ETL pipelines
• Clean code clean data: Import validate and transform data efficiently to support forecasting and inventory logic
• Ship fast sleep well: Contribute to our CI / CD pipeline
• Own your work: Take initiative work across the stack when needed and own features end-to-end in a lean ambitious team

Who We're Looking For

• You have several years experience working in either a Data Science Analysis or ML position
• Proficient with the Python ecosystem
• You are comfortable experimenting with data using notebooks and extracting business insights
• You have experience in time series prediction & optimization (Can be at work / from studies or private)
• You are able and willing to spend at least 3 days per week in our Berlin office
• Entrepreneurial and iterative mindset

Nice to Have

• Startup or freelance experience
• Background in e-commerce logistics or finance platforms
• Experience or interest in Operational Research optimization techniques (like Simplex)
• Ideally you have experience with large platforms systems or distributed architectures
• Experience with ML / AI for forecasting or planning systems
• If you've already worked with workflow orchestration systems it would be beneficial
