Job summary

Basler AG in Ahrensburg, Germany, is seeking a BI/Data Analytics specialist to start immediately in a full-time role supporting financial controlling. You will develop automated reporting and build data models that integrate SAP, Salesforce and other data sources.

You will design ETL processes in SAP Datasphere, create dashboards in SAP Analytics Cloud, and coordinate international projects with subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Experience developing BI solutions for finance/controlling.
• Strong SQL skills and data modelling experience.
• Hands-on SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud expertise.

Your responsibilities

• Develop automated reporting solutions to support financial controlling and provide business insights.
• Build and maintain data models integrating SAP (SAP R/3, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW), Salesforce, and other data sources.
• Connect subsidiaries using non-SAP systems through tailored data pipelines and coordinate international projects.
• Design and implement automated ETL processes in SAP Datasphere.
• Create dashboards and calculations in SAP Analytics Cloud and develop SQL-based solutions in SAP Datasphere.
• Analyze business results and prepare reports and ad hoc analyses.
• Reconcile data, investigate variances, and ensure consistent reporting across systems.
• Continuously optimize reporting tools, processes, and data models.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously optimize reporting tools, processes, and data and calculation models.

Your qualifications

• Experience developing BI solutions and data models for finance and/or controlling, including star schema modelling, measure definition, and data normalization.
• Familiarity with finance and controlling data from ERP systems.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud; familiarity with SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, and Salesforce.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL processes, reconciling data across systems, and improving data quality.
• Ability to explain analytical findings clearly to finance and business stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating projects with international teams.
• Very good command of German, both written and spoken.
• Professional proficiency in English.
