Job summary

Basler AG, a leader in computer vision, is seeking a Treasurer to manage the treasury division, oversee liquidity, and actively handle cash management and financial risk in a global context. The role requires German and English fluency and a hands-on, initiative-driven mindset.

You will work in a hybrid setup with involvement across finance, accounting, tax, and legal teams, contributing to strategic treasury initiatives and group-wide guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting.
• Substantial treasury/finance experience, ideally international.
• ERP or banking systems proficiency; SAP S/4HANA a plus.
• Fluent German and English; strong communication.
• Hands-on approach to driving strategic and operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Treasury division as a central staff function.
• Oversee Group-wide liquidity planning and solvency.
• Active cash management and relationships with banks.
• Refine treasury reporting for management and stakeholders.
• Analyze and manage currency, interest rate, and liquidity risks.
• Handle day-to-day treasury matters (guarantees, financing, intercompany).
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, and internal departments (Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Legal).
• Participate in projects like system implementations, process standardization, or M&A.

Your responsibilities

• Personal responsibility for managing and developing the Treasury division as a central staff function within the Group
• Managing Group-wide liquidity planning and ensuring short- and medium-term solvency
• Active cash management, including processing payment transactions and maintaining relationships with banks
• Developing and refining treasury reporting for management and relevant internal stakeholders
• Analyzing and managing financial risks, particularly currency, interest rate, and liquidity risks
• Operational handling of treasury-related matters in day-to-day business, such as guarantees, financing, and intercompany financing
• Point of contact for banks, financing partners, auditors, and internal departments such as Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Legal, and international subsidiaries
• Active participation in projects, such as system implementations, process standardization, M&A activities, or the further development of group-wide financial guidelines

Your qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification
• Substantial professional experience in treasury, corporate finance, or financial management, ideally in an international corporate environment
• Knowledge of capital market-oriented corporate structures is a plus
• Proficiency in using ERP, treasury, or banking systems
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus
• Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
• A hands-on approach and a passion for independently driving strategic and operational initiatives
• A high degree of initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to confidently manage a department without a dedicated team
• Fluent written and spoken German and English
