Jobbeschreibung

I am hiring a Cyber Security Consultant on behalf of a European cybersecurity provider offering a cloud-based platform that automates product‑security testing and compliance for connected devices. Their solution analyzes firmware, identifies vulnerabilities, generates SBOMs, and supports organisations in meeting modern regulatory requirements across sectors such as industrial, consumer, and critical‑infrastructure technologies. Alongside their technology platform, they deliver expert guidance to help manufacturers strengthen security throughout the product lifecycle, from development to deployment, enabling scalable risk management in increasingly complex device ecosystems.

In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring and interpreting cybersecurity regulations translating legal and technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance for clients and internal teams.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing compliance programs, including documentation, processes, and best‑practice frameworks that integrate into product development lifecycles.
  • Conducting compliance audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses, and defining remediation plans to help clients strengthen their cybersecurity and regulatory posture.
  • Leading and coordinating cross‑functional compliance projects, collaborating with cybersecurity engineers, legal specialists, product teams, and external partners to deliver end‑to‑end support.
  • Developing and delivering training, workshops, and enablement materials to educate clients and internal stakeholders on regulatory updates and secure‑by‐design principles.

This position is hybrid in Düsseldorf.

Essential:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline.
  • Hands‑on experience with cybersecurity or compliance, ideally 2+ years within regulated industries.
  • Experience working with CRA and IEC 62443.
  • Self‑driven, structured, and proactive working style, capable of independently managing projects while thriving in a cross‑functional, international environment.
  • Strong communication skills C1 level German and fluent English.
Desirable:
  • Experience working with ISO 27001, NIS2, RED etc.
  • Experience working in Product Security.
Company Benefits:
  • Modern and easily accessible workplace.
  • Culture of excellence.
  • Autonomous working.
  • Attractive company pension plan.
  • Excellent training budget.
