Jobtailor is seeking a field service technician to install and service critical power systems. You will work with UPS equipment, batteries, monitoring gear, and DC systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

The role emphasizes customer service, mentoring crew members, rapid response to faults, and precise testing with multimeters and battery test equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and replace components while adhering to FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA standards.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in third-party critical power field service or 5+ years in OEM service.

• Install electrical equipment including UPS, batteries, and monitoring gear.
• Maintain battery cabinets, DC systems, and related equipment.
• Perform remedial services: failure analysis, troubleshooting, replacements, and installations.
• Provide excellent customer service and upsell products.

• Respond quickly to critical situations.
• Teach and mentor crew on proper site techniques.
• Isolate hardware, software, and interface malfunctions using test equipment.

Jobbeschreibung

• Install electrical equipment such as small rack-mounted UPS equipment, various-sized batteries, and UPS/Battery monitoring equipment.
• Maintain Battery Cabinets and racks, Maintenance Bypass, Battery Monitoring Equipment, DC Systems, and other electrical equipment.
• Perform remedial services, including failure analysis and troubleshooting, component replacements and repairs, and battery string replacements and installations.
• Provide excellent customer service and upsell products.
• Field troubleshooting calls from customers to a satisfactory resolution.
• Quickly respond to critical situations.
• Teach and mentor crew members on proper techniques for site work.
• Isolate hardware, software, and interface malfunctions using test equipment.

Requirements

• Prior military training in electronics or avionics preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years serving in a third-party critical power field service or technical support role -OR- minimum of five (5) years serving in an OEM service environment.
• Good understanding of AC/DC electrical principles.
• Knowledge of test equipment operation (multi-meters, battery test equipment).
• Read and interpret electronics schematics.
• Understand compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations and standards.
• Outstanding work ethic, punctuality, trustworthiness, and reliability.
• Good judgment and ability to make timely decisions in fast-paced environments.
