Jobtailor in Berlin is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead battery storage projects from signature to commissioning. You will manage schedules, budgets and quality while coordinating with electrical and civil contractors, grid operators, and customer teams.

You will read single-line diagrams, ensure connection concepts meet safety standards (VDE-AR-N 4105/4110), prepare applications, and drive multiple projects in parallel with a hands-on, customer-focused approach.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ year of experience in technical project management or project execution in energy/building engineering, PV/storage projects or industrial electrical engineering.
• Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering, Electrical Power Systems or Industrial Engineering with an energy focus OR certified technician/master electrician in electrical engineering with relevant project management experience.
• Strong customer focus and confident presence in front of customers.
• Understanding of electrical infrastructure in commercial/industrial settings, including low voltage with interfaces to medium voltage, switchgear, transformers, NA protection and RLM metering equipment.
• Experience working with grid or metering point operators.
• Basic understanding of grid connection processes, e.g. VDE-AR-N 4105/4110.
• Confident reading of single-line diagrams and technical specifications.
• Ideally first exposure to protection concepts and connection design.
• Willingness to travel for on-site visits to industrial customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel in a structured way.
• Plus: experience with battery storage/EMS, manufacturing SMEs and dynamic environments such as EPCs, engineering boutiques or startups.

Aufgaben

• Lead 10+ battery storage projects from start to commissioning within 12 months
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer
• Coordinate installation, connection and integration of battery storage systems with electrical and civil contractors, manufacturers, and customer teams
• Understand single-line diagrams and metering concepts and ensure technical requirements for connection concepts, protection and safety
• Prepare and submit applications to grid operators and metering point operators
• Manage queries from the grid operator and consolidate technical response packages
• Support compliance documentation with partners according to relevant standards such as VDE-AR-N 4105/4110
• Collect approvals, test reports and certificates up to commissioning
• Identify technical risks early, issue go/no‑go signals and find pragmatic solutions
• Keep customers transparently informed and develop projects into reference customers
• Improve processes, CRM structures, checklists, templates and standards based on project experience
