Alpine Eagle is seeking a Radar Software Engineer to advance drone radar perception. You will design, optimize, and benchmark radar processing algorithms and implement them on the target platform while coordinating with the hardware team for seamless integration with drone systems.

We value a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset, strong C++ and Python capabilities, and a background in radar KPI driven development; PhD is a plus.

Qualifikationen

How you will make an impact:

As a Radar Software Engineer, you will be crucial in advancing our drone technology. You will develop, optimize and benchmark algorithms to further improve our radar perception with a multidisciplinary team to deliver next-generation drone solutions.

• Design, Optimize and Benchmark Algorithms: Radar processing algorithms for drone-based applications such as raw signal processing and real-time object tracking.
• Implement and Optimize Target Platform: Implement selected algorithms for the target platform and optimize them for runtime and memory footprint.
• Integration with Hardware: Partner with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of computer vision models with drone systems.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in radar technology and signal processing for aerial and ground-based applications.
• Code Reviews and Documentation: Participate in code reviews, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to team discussions.

What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
• Strong background in Radar Signal Processing (signal processing of radar raw data, radar object tracking) with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience in embedded SW development (ARM / Neon, Cuda)
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Solid Python skills.
• Proven experience with ROS2.
• A hands‑on attitude and strong sense of ownership.
• You approach complex problems systematically and document your results.
• Background in radar detection KPIs and KPI driven development.
