Alpine Eagle is building the future of counter-drone defence in a fast-growing, international deep-tech environment. We seek a Radar Software Engineer to develop, optimize and benchmark radar perception algorithms for our swarm-based drone systems.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design real-time solutions, integrate with hardware, and push the boundaries of radar processing. A strong background in radar signal processing and ROS2 is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in radar signal processing, including radar data handling.
• Proficient in C++ and Python for real-time algorithms.
• Experience with embedded SW development (ARM/Neon, CUDA) and ROS2.
• Background in radar KPIs and KPI-driven development.

How you will make an impact:

As a Radar Software Engineer, you will be crucial in advancing our drone technology. You will develop, optimize and benchmark algorithms to further improve our radar perception with a multidisciplinary team to deliver next-generation drone solutions.

• Design, Optimize and Benchmark Algorithms: Radar processing algorithms for drone-based applications such as raw signal processing and real-time object tracking.
• Implement and Optimize Target Platform: Implement selected algorithms for the target platform and optimize them for runtime and memory footprint.
• Integration with Hardware: Partner with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of computer vision models with drone systems.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in radar technology and signal processing for aerial and ground-based applications.
• Code Reviews and Documentation: Participate in code reviews, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to team discussions.

What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
• Strong background in Radar Signal Processing (signal processing of radar raw data, radar object tracking) with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience in embedded SW development (ARM / Neon, Cuda)
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Solid Python skills.
• Proven experience with ROS2.
• A hands‑on attitude and strong sense of ownership.
• You approach complex problems systematically and document your results.
• Background in radar detection KPIs and KPI driven development.
