Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Commercial Manager to support live data centre operations in Frankfurt and across Europe.

You will own commercial performance, manage contracts and budgets, and work with operational leadership to optimise service delivery and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management, contract management or procurement within facilities management, data centres or other technically critical environments.
• A strong understanding of operational contracts, service delivery and supplier performance.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, commercial risks and contractual negotiations.
• The ability to work closely with operational teams and balance commercial objectives with service delivery requirements.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to take ownership and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management activities across live data centre operations, ensuring financial performance and contractual compliance.
• Manage operational budgets, OPEX, lifecycle expenditure, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Oversee supplier contracts, procurement activities, tendering and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and manage supplier performance frameworks, including KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks, manage variations and support the resolution of claims and disputes.
• Work closely with site operations teams to ensure commercial decisions support operational performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support the development of commercial processes, reporting and governance across European operations.

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading international data centre operator to appoint a Commercial Manager to support its operational facilities in Frankfurt and wider European portfolio.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the commercial performance of a live, mission-critical environment, working closely with operational leadership to manage contracts, suppliers, budgets and commercial risk.

Joining a lean, internationally connected commercial team, you will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence how commercial processes and supplier relationships are managed across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management activities across live data centre operations, ensuring financial performance and contractual compliance.

Experience & Background

We are interested in speaking with commercially focused professionals who have experience managing contracts, suppliers and financial performance within operational environments.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience in commercial management, contract management or procurement within facilities management, data centres or other technically critical environments.
• A strong understanding of operational contracts, service delivery and supplier performance.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, commercial risks and contractual negotiations.

Previous data centre experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

We would also welcome applications from professionals working within facilities management, pharmaceutical facilities, critical infrastructure or construction businesses with meaningful operational commercial experience.
