Job summary

Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is recruiting for a Commercial Lead to direct a team of MEP & CSA Quantity Surveyors on a large data centre project in southwestern Germany. You will own all commercial processes from pre- to post-contract.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary cost management liaison with client and project stakeholders.
• Oversee pre- and post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final accounts.
• Complete feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to the client.
• Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.

Job description

Our client, a large European consultancy, seeks an experienced Commercial Lead to lead a team of MEP & CSA Quantity Surveyors and take ownership of all commercial processes on a large data centre project in southwest Germany.

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Commercial Lead with extensive hands‑on experience inmanaging all commercial activities, pre- and post-contract, particularly on data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary cost management liaison with client and other project stakeholders
• Responsibility for pre- and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
• Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes

Required Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) yearsof work-related experience
• Experience in data centres or mission critical environments, such as pharma / life sciences, nuclear or battery projects.
• English skills are required, fluent German language skills are preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
