Plasma International in Germany is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to accelerate our commercial presence in the German energy storage market. You will identify opportunities, open doors with senior decision-makers and drive long-cycle opportunities from first contact to contract.
This hybrid role rewards an autonomous hunter who thrives in complex B2B environments, collaborating with technical and project teams and building pipelines across EPCs, developers and infrastructure
I’m supporting a fast-growing international energy technology business with the appointment of a Business Development Manager to help develop its commercial presence across the German market.
This is a senior individual-contributor opportunity for someone who is at their best when creating business rather than simply managing an existing order book.
We’re looking for a genuine new-business developer: someone who knows how to identify where projects are emerging, open doors with senior decision-makers, build relationships from the ground up and develop complex opportunities through what can often be a long commercial cycle.
The company operates within the rapidly developing energy storage and clean-energy infrastructure market, providing technically sophisticated solutions to commercial and industrial customers, developers and project partners.
You’ll take ownership of developing new opportunities across your region, working closely with technical, project, commercial and operational teams to turn early-stage conversations into credible, qualified projects.
We’re particularly interested in speaking with commercially minded individuals who have spent their careers within battery energy storage, energy, power, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing or another technically complex B2B environment.
You’ll ideally bring 10+ years of business development, strategic sales or market-development experience, together with evidence that you have personally created and converted new opportunities rather than solely inherited established accounts.
A network across areas such as EPCs, project developers, infrastructure businesses or organisations involved in major energy projects would be particularly valuable.
Just as importantly, this role needs someone with a strong hunter mentality. You’ll need to be comfortable working autonomously, creating your own opportunities, navigating lengthy sales processes and continuing to build momentum when deals don’t move in a straight line.
Fluent German and English are essential.
In return, you’ll join an ambitious international business at a significant stage of its commercial development, with substantial autonomy, direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape how the company develops within one of Europe’s most important energy-storage markets.
The package includes a competitive base salary, performance-related bonus, long-term incentive potential and flexible/hybrid working.
If you’ve built your career around opening markets, developing complex technical opportunities and winning new business within energy or infrastructure, I’d be interested in speaking with you.
