Job summary

ADB SAFEGATE is seeking a BID Manager Aviation to lead proposal management for airports in the DACH region. You will craft compelling offers, tailor solutions with engineering and sales teams, and support digitization efforts that enhance efficiency.

You will present and negotiate with customers on-site, manage cross-functional coordination, and help deliver customized technical solutions across projects.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years’ experience in bidding processes in technical systems or IT projects.
• Experience in engineering, business administration or related field; career changers welcome.
• Good understanding of IT fundamentals and ability to grasp interrelationships.
• Open, proactive, and communicative; enjoys traveling occasionally and engaging with customers and partners.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare offers for hardware, software, and services for airports, primarily in the DACH region.
• Develop attractive and customized proposals based on customer requirements.
• Work closely with engineering and sales to develop optimal solutions.
• Present proposals and negotiate with customers – including on-site – to achieve optimal results.
• Coordinate with planners, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to implement customized technical solutions.
• Support airports in digitizing and increasing efficiency of flight operations.

The Opportunity: BID Manager Aviation

Proposal Management:

You are responsible for preparing offers for hardware and software solutions as well as services for airports, primarily in the DACH region.

Customer Focus:

You develop attractive and customized proposals based on individual customer requirements, focusing on their needs.

Teamwork:

You work closely with our engineering teams and sales colleagues to develop the best possible solutions for our customers.

Presentation and Negotiation:

You actively participate in proposal presentations and conduct negotiations with customers – including on-site – with the goal of achieving optimal results.

Project Management:

You work with planners, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to develop and successfully implement customized technical solutions.

Contribution to Digitalization:

With your projects, you support airports in digitizing and increasing efficiency and contribute to the optimization of operational flight operations.

• You have 3 – 4 years’ experience in the bidding processes – preferably in the construction of technical systems or IT projects.
• You have a good understanding of IT fundamentals and can grasp and manage technical interrelationships.
• You are an open, proactive, and communicative person who enjoys traveling occasionally and enjoys professional interactions with customers and business partners.
• You have a very good command in written and spoken German and English.

This would be a plus but not a must!

• You have knowledge of public procurement is desirable but not required.
