Applications Specialist – Laboratory Automation

Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Specialist in Germany to design and present automated laboratory systems. You will translate customer requirements, craft technical solutions, and collaborate with sales and deployment teams to ensure successful projects.

The role requires strong communication and biotech/domain experience, plus scripting or LIMS integration exposure and travel for conferences and demonstrations.

Qualifikationen

• BS Degree in Scientific/Engineering Discipline.
• Minimum five years’ industry experience, with preference to Biotechnology-specific experience.
• Experience in automated laboratory systems and devices in a high throughput screening, compound management, drug discovery, genomics or research automation setting is desired.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, customer service and negotiation skills.
• Passport and driver’s licence required.
• Experience with scheduling software for automated laboratory systems is a plus.
• Experience with custom scripting of lab automation instrumentation, or experience with larger custom software or LIMS integration projects in a lab setting is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Partner with Sales Managers to progress new business opportunities into delivered projects.
• Analyze and translate customers’ scientific requirements.
• Design technical solutions and prepare presentations and demonstrations.
• Work with internal colleagues and current customers to ensure system purchases meet customer needs.
• Provide detailed handover to the deployment team.
• Occasionally assist with technical implementation, acceptance testing, or customer support.
• Analyze requests for proposals and define optimal technical solutions, including workflow modelling and throughput analysis.
• Specify instruments and review system layouts.
• Compose technical documentation for proposal and specification documents.
• Work with Project Managers and Deployment Specialists to ensure accurate system deployment.
• Assist with development of client protocols for robotic systems.
• Participate in conferences and exhibitions with the sales team.
• Support marketing efforts.
• Maintain knowledge of industry application trends, methodologies, devices/instruments, and software tools.
