The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences. Your role

EPSYLON is a collective of 13 cutting‑edge experimental laboratories in various fields of psychology research at the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.

EPSYLON brings together research teams from a variety of backgrounds to systematically facilitate interdisciplinary research and advance behavioural and cognitive sciences.

The network coordinates, promotes and advances experimental psychological research in Luxembourg and holds leading expertise in the design of cutting‑edge research facilities. EPSYLON is a unique faculty structure for research, but also training at BSc, MSc and PhD levels.

Responsibilities
  • First contact point for researchers, suppliers, students and volunteers involved in experimental research
  • Interface between researchers and central services for finance‑related requirements and regulations (e.g.: VAT, depreciation of fixed assets, UL‑internal processes and roles, procurement and legal requirements) and HR‑related regulations (student helpers, trainees, experts financed via EPSYLON budget)
  • Assisting the Director and Council members in the coordination and optimal use of the 11 labs and the equipment and facilities.
  • Ensuring transparent communication internally and externally
  • Ordering, reception, monitoring and dispatching of goods
  • Tracking budget and expenses
  • Dispatch room access requests
  • Room bookings
  • Welcoming volunteers involved in the tests
  • Catering organisation
  • Event organisation
Your profile
  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Strong service‑oriented and problem‑solving mindset
  • Diplomacy and communication skills
  • Sense for organisation and detail
  • ICT skills (EXCEL, SAP an asset)
  • Flexibility to react to urgencies and to interact with a large variety of people
  • Excellent communication skills, service oriented, team player
  • Professional and collegial, reliable, can do attitude
  • Business English and French, knowledge in German is an asset
