You will manage monthly payroll for industrial workers, drivers and office staff and serve as the payroll contact for employees, managers, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Requires commercial apprenticeship in payroll accounting or tax clerk with HR qualifications preferred.
• Deep knowledge of payroll accounting, labor, social security, and tax law.
• Experience in a freight forwarding company is a plus.
• Proficiency with payroll and time-tracking systems and SBS Lohn plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle monthly payroll processing for industrial workers, drivers and office staff.
• Be the payroll contact for employees, managers and government agencies.
• Record and analyze working hours, overtime, driver allowances and travel expenses.
• Prepare payroll reports, certificates and statistics.
• Assist HR admin tasks such as contracts and onboarding.
• Coordinate with health insurers, social security, and tax advisor.
• Cover for staff on vacation or sick leave in HR and Accounting with defined responsibilities.

We are a high-performing freight forwarding and logistics company specializing in domestic and international freight transport. Our employees are the driving force behind our success. To strengthen our HR team, we are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated full-time payroll specialist (m/f/d) to join us immediately.

Your responsibilities:

• Independently handling monthly payroll processing for industrial workers, drivers, and office staff (m/f/d)
• Serving as the point of contact for employees, managers, and government agencies regarding all payroll-related matters
• Recording and analyzing working hours, overtime pay, driver allowances, and travel expenses
• Preparing reports, certificates, and statistics
• Assisting with HR administrative tasks such as contract management and onboarding
• Collaborating with health insurance providers, social security agencies, and the tax advisor
• Covering for staff on vacation or sick leave within the HR and Accounting departments, including taking over defined areas of responsibility to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Successful completion of a commercial apprenticeship as a payroll accountant or tax clerk, ideally with additional qualifications in human resources
• In-depth knowledge of payroll accounting as well as labor, social security, and tax law
• Professional experience in a freight forwarding company is a plus
• Proficiency in payroll and time-tracking systems
• Reliable, responsible, and organized work style
• Proficiency in the SBS Lohn plus payroll program
