OSM Thome is recruiting a 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer for container vessel operations under Singapore flag. Worldwide trading area; joining port to be confirmed.

The role supports safe and efficient engine room operations, maintenance and watchkeeping under the supervision of senior engineers. Rotation and contract terms include 6 months on, 2 months off, with potential extension or permanency based on performance.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 months experience as 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer on seagoing vessels.
• Previous container experience is not required – though preferred.
• Valid COC and Class 1 CoC / CoP; all required STCW certificates valid and up to date.

Aufgaben

• Assist in operation, monitoring and maintenance of main engine, auxiliary engines and all engine room machinery.
• Carry out planned maintenance and repair work as assigned by senior engineers.
• Perform engine room watchkeeping duties and keep accurate records and log entries.
• Monitor and maintain fuel, lube oil, cooling water and other machinery systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting machinery faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Follow all safety, environmental and company procedures and participate in drills.
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in the engine room and workshops.

OSM Thome is looking for multiple 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer for container vessel operations under Singapore flag. Worldwide trading area, joining port to be confirmed.

The 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer will support safe and efficient engine room operations, maintenance and watchkeeping under the supervision of senior engineers.

Position Overview

• Role: 4th Engineer (4/E) / Junior Engineer
• Location: Worldwide, joining in Asia
• Project: Container Vessels
• Rotation: 6 months (+/- 1) on & 2 months off
• Duration: 8 months (+/- 1) - with option to extend or become permanent based on availability and performance, with rejoining bonus
• Rank Experience: 3 months in rank
• Container Experience: None required - though preferred
• EU/EEA residence is required

Key Responsibilities
