Zusammenfassung

OSM Thome is seeking a 3rd Officer (OOW) to join its deck team on a modern car carrier trading worldwide. You will stand navigational watch, assist voyage planning, and support cargo and ballast operations under senior officers.

The role requires a valid 3rd Officer / OOW deck license with STCW, plus STCW safety certificates and a seafarer medical. English communication should be strong and you must be a safety-minded team player.

Qualifikationen

• Valid 3rd Officer / OOW Deck license compliant with STCW.
• Experience on car carriers or similar vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates; seafarer medical, passport and COC as required.
• Good English communication; team player with strong safety mindset.

Aufgaben

• Stand navigational watch as OOW and ensure safe passage.
• Assist with voyage planning, position fixing and reporting.
• Support cargo and ballast operations under Chief/2nd Officer guidance.
• Carry out safety rounds, inspections and maintenance duties.
