Job summary

EPAM Systems in Colombia is seeking a Senior UI Technical Designer to translate UX and visual direction into shippable UI specs and prototypes for Unreal Engine 5.

You will define flows, interaction behavior, navigation rules, and component standards to enable clean, cross-platform implementation with multi-input support. This role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and artists to deliver polished UI across projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UI/UX experience with shipped games or digital products.
• Expert-level Figma with components, variants, auto-layout, and handoff-ready docs.
• Ability to produce annotated layouts, interaction notes, and state diagrams.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine UMG concepts, layouts, anchors, and widget states.
• Strong understanding of focus-based navigation across multiple input methods.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Define UI flows and user journeys for in-game screens and deliver specs.
• Build and maintain a scalable UI component system with patterns, components, variants, and states.
• Document detailed behavior rules for navigation, focus, input handling, and edge cases.
• Collaborate daily with client engineers and UI artists to keep designs feasible and performant.
• Support iteration by reviewing implementations and updating designs based on QA findings.
