Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior UI Artist to shape immersive digital experiences across platforms. You will transform UX concepts into polished mockups and bring artwork to life in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring cohesive design systems for menus, HUDs, icons, and shaders.

You will collaborate with designers and engineers, optimize UI for performance on PC, console, and mobile, and maintain style guides and libraries. A strong portfolio and 3+ years in games UI are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as UI Artist or in a closely aligned art discipline in games.
• Compelling portfolio showcasing UI/UX design, texturing, and icon creation.
• Direct experience building and styling UI within Unreal Engine 5 (UMG, Slate, Material Editor).
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other standard design software.
• Strong typography, layout structure, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Collaborative and cross-functional communication with design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Transform UX wireframes into polished mockups, interactive prototypes, design systems, and style guides using Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Bring finished artwork to life within Unreal Editor, including UMG setup, widget animation, and material creation.
• Craft cohesive design systems for menus, HUD components, icons, UI materials and shaders, plus UI animation.
• Develop original material effects, 2D and animated VFX, and Blueprint scripting logic.
• Fine-tune UI assets for performance across PC, console, and mobile while preserving fidelity, accessibility, and localization.
• Maintain organized UI asset libraries and up-to-date style guides.
