Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior UX Designer to convert visual direction into concrete UI specifications and functioning prototypes tailored for Unreal Engine production. You will sketch UI flows, build a flexible component system, and define navigation rules that perform consistently across platforms and input styles.

You will collaborate with client-side engineers and UI artists to ensure designs are achievable and performant, refine iterations after playtests, and translate business needs

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of UI/UX design experience with digital products or game interfaces.
• Deep expertise in Figma including components, variants, auto-layout, and developer handoff.
• Ability to create annotated layouts, interaction descriptions, state diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
• Real-world familiarity with designing UI for Unreal Engine and UMG elements.
• Awareness of focus-based navigation and input types (controller, keyboard/mouse).
• Ability to design responsive UI across different resolutions and aspect ratios.
• Fluent English at B2 level or higher for business communication.

Responsibilities

• Sketch out UI flows and user journeys for in-game features and screens.
• Create and expand a flexible UI component system with patterns, components, variants, and states.
• Document behavior details covering focus, navigation, input reactions, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with client-side engineers and UI artists to ensure designs are implementable and performant.
• Lead iterative refinements based on playtests and technical feedback.
