Post Oak Group is seeking a VP – Startup Fundraising Advisory to guide startup founders and CEOs through capital-raising from Seed to Series C. This senior, client-facing role emphasizes independent fundraising strategy, narrative strengthening, and senior-level guidance on valuation, capitalization, and timing.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years across investment banking, VC/PE, or related fields, with executive presence and fluency in English for U.S.-based clients.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience in investment banking, VC/PE, corporate finance, or startup fundraising.
• Direct experience advising startups on capital raises from Seed to Series C.
• Strong understanding of venture capital fundraising processes and investor expectations.
• Led founder/CEO/investor meetings with executive presence.
• Fluency in English with ability to communicate with U.S.-based clients.
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation skills.
• Ability to review financial models and investor materials at senior level.
• Experience with capital-structure, dilution, cap tables, and transaction economics.
• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple clients and deadlines.
• Available to work Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CT and start immediately.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a senior client-facing advisor to startup founders and CEOs during fundraising.
• Independently lead fundraising strategy, advisory, and preparation meetings.
• Advise clients on strategy, valuation, capital structure, dilution, and investor targeting.
• Help founders refine pitch decks and investor presentations.
• Evaluate companies from an investor perspective and identify weaknesses.
• Prepare founders for investor meetings and diligence questions.
• Review financial models, forecasts, and transaction materials with senior guidance.
• Coordinate with analysts and deal teams while maintaining senior client relationships.
