AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across the SDLC, partnering with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Architects to embed quality from the start rather than gate at release.

You will design, maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and use AI-powered tools for test generation and coverage optimization.

Formación

• 4+ years in software testing or quality engineering.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, Postman).
• Ability to read, write, or debug test code in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or C#.
• Understanding of REST APIs and service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with PMs, engineers, and architects to embed quality throughout SDLC.
• Define and execute a product quality strategy aligned with priorities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI.
• Promote a balanced test pyramid and reduce over-reliance on UI automation.
• Collaborate to improve code coverage and architecture for test value.
• Build scalable automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in backlog refinement and design discussions to catch risks early.
• Leverage AI-powered test generation, analysis, and coverage optimization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort via intelligent automation.
• Investigate defects and drive root-cause analysis for preventative quality.
