AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Python Developer in Villavicencio, Colombia to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You will collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver production-grade backend systems.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of Python backend experience, strong knowledge of Python core concepts, and proficiency with PostgreSQL and ORMs. The role offers USD-based compensation and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend Python development experience.
• Strong Python core concepts: OOP, async, memory management.
• Proven REST APIs and distributed microservices experience.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and ORMs.
• Series of unit/integration/e2e tests with Pytest.
• Git workflows with PRs and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable microservices and REST APIs using Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• Write clean, well-tested code and perform peer reviews; promote modern Python practices.
