AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You will work closely with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver production-grade systems.

Responsibilities include API design, code quality, containerization, CI/CD, and mentoring. Strong Python expertise and SQL familiarity are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend Python development experience.
• Deep understanding of Python core concepts (OOP, async, memory).
• REST APIs and distributed microservices experience.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and ORM proficiency.
• JUnit/Pytest-style testing and test automation.
• Version control with PRs and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs in Python.
• Promote code quality with reviews and modern Python practices.
• Containerize apps and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Design schemas and SQL queries; work with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate third-party services with low latency and high security.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product and DevOps.
