Qualifications

4+ years of professional backend software development in Python.
Strong knowledge of Python core concepts (OOP, FP, memory management, async, data structures).
Experience building production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices architectures.
Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORM usage.
Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with Pytest.
Advanced Git and collaborative workflows (PRs, branching, code reviews).

Responsibilities

Architecture, design, and development of high-performance, scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python.
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code; perform peer code reviews; promote modern Python practices.
Containerize applications with Docker and build/optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Design database schemas, write optimized SQL, and work with ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy) with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases.
Integrate third-party APIs and services with an emphasis on low latency, high availability, and security.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.
