AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs, collaborating with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams.

We value 4+ years in backend Python, strong PostgreSQL/ORM skills, and robust testing practices. Docker and GitHub Actions experience are highly desirable, with English at an upper-intermediate level. Flexible schedule with remote and office options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend Python development.
• Deep understanding of Python core concepts: OOP, FP, memory management, async/ concurrency, and data structures.
• Experience building production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience and ORM frameworks.
• Commitment to unit, integration, and end-to-end testing with Pytest.
• Proficient Git workflows (PRs, branching, code reviews).
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and REST APIs in Python.
• Ensure code quality through maintainable, well-tested code and peer reviews.
• Containerize apps with Docker and optimize CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Model schemas, write optimized SQL, and work with ORMs (SQLAlchemy) across SQL/NoSQL.
• Integrate third-party APIs while ensuring low latency, high availability, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
