Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable microservices and REST APIs. You will work closely with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams to deliver high-performance backend systems.

You will implement robust testing, code reviews, and modern Python practices while containerizing applications and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments. This role offers flexible remote/office options and opportunities to impact Fortune 500 projects.

Qualifications

4+ years of backend Python experience.
Strong understanding of Python core concepts (OOP, FP, async).
Production-grade REST APIs and distributed microservices experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and conduct peer reviews.
Containerize apps with Docker and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Design schema models, write optimized SQL queries and work with ORMs (SQLAlchemy) with PostgreSQL/MySQL
Integrate third-party APIs while ensuring low latency, high availability and security.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.
