Caseware is hiring a Senior Software Developer for a fully remote role based in Colombia. You will design prototypes, break down initiatives, and lead agile SDLC initiatives with senior engineers and architects.

The role emphasizes building distributed microservices on AWS, implementing CI/CD, and advancing testing strategies. Strong English communication and SPA experience with Angular/TypeScript are expected.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience building highly distributed microservice architecture using Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, and Gradle.
• Strong OOP skills and advocacy for code quality, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with complex projects in a public cloud environment (AWS preferred).
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or a similar tool.
• Creating and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality.
• Expertise with test‑driven development, unit tests, integration tests, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong written and spoken English communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Angular/TypeScript for SPA development.
• Experience with the Serverless Framework.
• Experience with trunk‑based development.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, RestAssured, and JMeter.
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts.
• Experience with large enterprise monorepo codebases (NX preferred).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS EKS and Lambda Serverless, Step Functions, SNS/SQS.
• Storage on AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and S3.
• Proficiency with JIRA for backlog management.
• Familiarity with IntelliJ and Claude Code.
• Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and Slack.

Responsabilidades

• Create prototypes and software design proposals that provide short‑term business value while aligning with the future‑state product and architecture vision.
• Research and break down large initiatives into parallelizable chunks of work that deliver incremental value toward the final feature goal.
• Champion proposals through all phases of the Agile SDLC from design to implementation.
• Contribute to improving the core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and overall SDLC.
• Work with senior developers and architects to define and oversee the execution of the product architecture roadmap.
• Troubleshoot and eliminate persistent root causes for production issues.
• Facilitate design discussions within and outside the squad.
• Represent the team in technical discussions with Tech Leads, Operations, Product/UX, and external stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship through design reviews, pair programming, and code reviews.
• Keep technical documentation up to date and create new artifacts when required.
• Share knowledge on new technologies and industry best practices to build our coding standards.
• Proficiently use inline code completion tools in daily IDE workflow.
• Use conversational AI assistants for pair programming, design discussion, debugging, and documentation.
• Critically evaluate all AI‑generated output before committing, verifying correctness, security, and alignment with team standards.
• Identify routine or well‑scoped tasks as candidates for agentic automation and propose improvements to tools/workflows.
• Build feedback loops: document what worked, what failed, and why, to improve future agent performance and team understanding.
• Collaborate with your team to design and instrument AI‑powered developer tooling; measure its impact on velocity and quality.
