Caseware is seeking an Senior Software Developer III to act as a technical leader across engineering, shaping architecture and product direction. You will mentor teams, drive reliability, and partner with stakeholders to translate decisions into business value.

You will guide frontend and backend efforts, design scalable microservice architectures on AWS, and push for high-quality code, accessibility, and performance. This role is fully remote, Colombia-based.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; 8+ years of professional software development.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS platforms at scale, ideally on AWS.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID, and advocacy for code quality.
• Experience with agentic-AI software development practices.
• Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals delivering near-term value while aligning with vision.
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, and design discussions.
• Define and execute the product/platform architecture roadmap with senior staff.
• Balance delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term health of the platform.
• Break down large initiatives into parallelizable chunks delivering incremental value.
• Champion proposals through SDLC from design to production.
• Contribute to core product builds, CI/CD pipelines, and overall SDLC.
• Troubleshoot root causes of production issues; drive reliability and observability.
• Keep technical documentation current and create new artifacts as needed.
• Facilitate design discussions within and across teams.
• Represent the team in technical discussions with Tech Leads, Ops, Product/UX, Security, SMEs.
• Mentor other developers; contribute to engineering maturity.
• Share knowledge of new technologies and industry best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and cloud capabilities for the platform.
