Higher Options is seeking a Senior Accountant / Financial Controller to join a remote, full-time role supporting US-based hospitality and events brands. You will own QuickBooks Online records, classify transactions effectively, and prepare multi-entity monthly statements while ensuring accuracy in the income statement and balance sheet.

The ideal candidate has deep QuickBooks Online expertise, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience in multi-entity accounting and close processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise with ability to classify transactions and explain impact on financial statements.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting, including P&L and balance sheet relationships.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and reconciliations, and close processes.

Responsabilités

• Own and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online.
• Review and classify transactions with impact on income statement and balance sheet.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements across entities.
• Analyze month-over-month results and flag anomalies.
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, intercompany activity, and other key accounts.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee AP/AR functions and payroll reporting across entities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting needs.
• Maintain inventory, COGS, fixed assets, and GL records.
• Support tax compliance and coordination with external accountants.
• Improve accounting workflows and SOPs.
• Provide clear financial insights to founders and leadership.
