Howard is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 2–3 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a rock-solid accounting foundation, advanced QuickBooks skills, and exceptional English communication.

You will handle everyday accounting operations, assist with closings, and ensure compliance while collaborating with native English-speaking stakeholders across borders. This is a 100% remote role offering growth opportunities and USD compensation.

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and proactive

We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and proactive Accountant with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate possesses a rock-solid accounting foundation, advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, and exceptional English communication skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with monthly closings, and ensuring full compliance. You will collaborate directly with native English-speaking stakeholders, making strong verbal and written communication crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations: Manage general ledger entries, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and routine bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, preparing trial balances, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare timely, accurate financial statements and reports for management and key stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify operational efficiencies and automate accounting workflows to optimize productivity.
• Compliance & Reconciliation: Ensure internal controls are maintained and resolve any accounting discrepancies or variances proactively.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a primary financial point of contact, presenting financial figures clearly and collaborating with cross-border teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounting experience (experience in international, US-based, or remote accounting environments is a major plus).
• Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) is required. Familiarity with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and modern financial tools is essential.
• Language Skills: Fluent/Native English (verbal and written). Ability to conduct meetings and write formal business correspondence seamlessly.
• Core Competencies: Strong, verified knowledge of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Proactive Mindset: Self-starter attitude with high autonomy, problem-solving initiative, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
