Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a highly detail-oriented Loan Funder & Post-Closing Specialist to manage loans from Clear-To-Close through investor purchase and final document delivery. This full-time remote role requires handling warehouse funding, verifying high‑value wires, and balancing accounts against Closing Disclosures and investor advices.

You will track trailing documents, clear post-closing conditions, and ensure operational and financial accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mortgage funding, closing, or post-closing within a correspondent lender or mortgage banker environment funding on warehouse lines.
• Demonstrated accounting skills including reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger balancing.
• Strong understanding of Closing Disclosures (CD), settlement statements, wire procedures, and investor Purchase Advice structures.

Responsibilities

• Submit loan packages and FNMA 3.2 files through warehouse portals.
• Reconcile funding requests against final Closing Disclosures and settlement statements.
• Verify wire instructions with title companies and closing attorneys with fraud-prevention measures.
• Track warehouse line dwell time and loan aging to minimize interest costs.
• Review investor Purchase Advices and reconcile loan amounts, price, SRP, fees, lender credits, and interest.
• Investigate and resolve mismatches in purchase advice with investors or internal teams.
• Post investor purchases and payoffs in portals and balance outgoing wires with investor proceeds.
• Advance loan milestones in Arive upon confirmation of funds.
• Manage the Final Docs dashboard to track trailing documents (title policies, mortgages).
• Resolve unmatched document exceptions and clear post-closing conditions.
