Job summary

Salvatech, a US-backed venture enabling remote teams, seeks an HR Associate to own the full employee lifecycle for our Colombia-based team.

You will manage payroll, benefits, hiring, onboarding and offboarding, advisory on performance, and HR compliance, reporting to the CEO.

This is a long-term role, 100% remote from Colombia, with responsibilities spanning U.S. and local regulations and a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2–5 years experience as an HR Generalist, ideally end-to-end.
• Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance.
• Hands-on payroll experience with ADP or similar HRIS.
• Advanced English (C1), both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Run semi-monthly payroll and liaise with ADP.
• Administer benefits: health, retirement plans, PTO, leaves.
• Lead recruiting: sourcing, pre-screening, interviews, coordination.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding: offers, I-9, background checks, access.
• Coach managers on performance, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
• Lead mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
• Maintain HR policies, handbook, records, and compliance calendar.
• Support training, compliance questionnaires, and quarterly logs.
• Analyze turnover and exit data to identify improvements.
• Provide light admin support for office operations.
