Job description

HR Manager — Latinogy (LATAM and US)

Remote

  • Latin America or US
  • Full-time
  • Reports to the founders
About Latinogy

Latinogy is the shared-services company of a growing group of startups in Latin America and the United States. Latinogy hires the people who support all of them.

The group includes companies in IT systems integration and consulting, AI software for IT service management, and healthcare services in the US. Together they have about 35 people in several countries.

We are building the group's core functions now. There is no HR team yet. You will build the function from the ground up, set the strategy, do hands-on work, and grow the team when results justify it.

This is a role for an entrepreneur. You report directly to the founders.

How we work
  • Fully remote. Mexico City or Bogotá preferred. We accept candidates anywhere in Latin America or the US.
  • Full-time, long-term role.
  • Fluent English and Spanish required (C1 or higher). The hiring process runs in English.
  • Occasional travel when needed.
The role

You will build the people function for the whole group, for about 35 people in several countries, and growing. Your first priority is to fill our open positions and build the teams. Your second is to build a strong culture across companies and countries.

Team today
  • About 12 people in the US (healthcare practice in Atlanta, on-site).
  • About 15 people across Latin America (IT consulting, remote).
  • About 8 people in Colombia (AI software).
What you will do
  • Fill our open positions and build the teams each company needs. Own recruiting end to end in our ATS: job descriptions, sourcing, screening, assessments and offers.
  • Build our culture: values, rituals, communication and engagement for remote and on-site teams in several countries.
  • Design and launch a career and partnership model for our IT consulting company. Like the large consulting firms, top consultants should be able to grow into partners. This helps us attract and keep talent that big technology companies also want.
  • Use AI across HR: sourcing, screening support, onboarding, people analytics and employee self-service. People make the final hiring decisions.
  • Coach our leaders: help managers in each company lead, give feedback and develop their teams.
  • Build the HR function: policies, processes and a yearly people plan.
  • Run onboarding and offboarding for remote and on-site teams.
  • Set up performance management: goals, reviews and development plans.
  • Design salary structures and incentive plans with the founders.
  • Keep us compliant with labor law in each country where we hire, with our external accountants and advisors. In the US, coordinate with our payroll provider and employment counsel.
  • Review and approve payroll before payment. Our external accounting firms process it.
  • Lead occupational health and safety programs, including SG-SST in Colombia.
  • Handle employee relations: conflicts, investigations and disciplinary processes.
  • Track and report HR metrics: time to hire, employee satisfaction, turnover, retention and cost per hire.
Your first 90 days
  • Take over all open hiring processes and present a hiring plan by company, with dates.
  • Run a first employee satisfaction survey and propose the culture priorities.
  • Audit contracts, policies and payroll practices in each company, and present a compliance calendar by country.
  • Present a first draft of the career and partnership model for our IT consulting company.
What you bring
  • 7+ years in HR, with at least 3 years leading the full HR function, ideally for multi-country or remote teams.
  • Strong leadership: you have led HR teams, earned the trust of executives, and coached managers to lead better.
  • Hands-on AI skills: you use AI tools in recruiting, people analytics and HR operations, and you can show the results.
  • Strong recruiting track record: you have filled many positions at the same time to build new teams, using an ATS.
  • Proven experience building culture: you have defined values, run engagement programs and measured employee satisfaction.
  • Solid knowledge of Colombian labor law. Knowledge of Mexico and other Latin American countries is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of US employment practices (I-9, at-will employment, EEO), or the ability to learn fast with external support.
  • Experience reviewing payroll and working with external accountants.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (C1 or higher).
  • An entrepreneur's mindset: you have built HR processes from zero in a startup or growing company.
Nice to have
  • Experience designing career paths or partnership models in consulting or professional services firms.
  • SST license and the 50‑hour SG‑SST course (Colombia).
  • Experience in healthcare or IT services companies.
  • Experience with HR tools such as an ATS, TestGorilla or an HRIS.
Compensation
  • Competitive base salary in USD.
  • Variable pay tied to HR objectives.
