Job summary

HoopStars is a Toronto-based youth basketball business seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead marketing, ecommerce and profitable growth across its brands. You will divide your time between running HoopStars and building the parent company Community Sports Partners' marketing team, with remote work from LATAM and Toronto-hours collaboration.

You will own budgets, performance reporting and customer experience, while recruiting and developing a small team and driving growth across channels.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated results in paid acquisition, conversion and retention.
• Commercial responsibility beyond a marketing budget: pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts or profitability.
• Experience hiring and managing marketers, creatives, agencies or other specialists.
• Ability to translate ecommerce methods into a service business with real delivery capacity.

Responsibilities

• Run HoopStars: own business plan, budget, revenue, profitability and cash forecasts.
• Drive digital growth: paid search, social, landing pages, pricing and offers.
• Build the parent marketing team: recruit specialists and manage cross-brand priorities.
• Establish commercial discipline: connect campaign performance to customers and profitability.
• Stay close to execution: inspect accounts, diagnose funnel issues and lead improvements.
