Job summary

HireLatam seeks a proactive Controller to lead full-cycle accounting for US clients from a remote Colombia base. You will supervise a team, ensure accurate month-end closes, and maintain strong internal controls in line with US GAAP.

The role blends client portfolio management with technical controllership, developing forecasts and driving data-driven decision making. Fluent English and QuickBooks expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• 2+ years as an Accounting Manager leading a team, with 5+ years in financial operations supervision.
• Proficient in QuickBooks for AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting; strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Fluent English spoken/written; comfortable leading async documentation and calls with US clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of US client engagements, ensuring timely month-end closes and high service levels.
• Finalise multi-entity financial statements and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate budgets/forecasts, perform variance analysis, and monitor internal controls.
