Job summary

Vivant, a fast-growing U.S.-based MSP, is hiring an Accounting Officer for a fully remote role across Latin America. You will support accounting, billing, AR/AP, and financial reporting, coordinating with U.S.-based clients and vendors while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years in accounting, billing, AR/AP, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with US or international companies preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting-related email and phone inquiries from stakeholders.
• Review projects, tickets, and work orders for accurate client billing.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on balances.
• Review vendor invoices and process accounts payable on time.
• Coordinate with vendors on payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Ensure timely payments to service providers to avoid disruptions.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain GL, perform reconciliations.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify billing accuracy.
• Create SOPs and training materials.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and strengthen controls.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
