Job summary

Scotiabank's ScotiaTech hub in Bogota is seeking a Platform Engineer Associate to contribute to enterprise content solutions globally. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying new solutions, providing after-hours and weekend production support on a rotation, and ensuring operations align with risk and conduct standards.

You will work in a standard office-based environment with non-standard hours being common.

Responsibilities

• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Develop solutions to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet business needs by applying technological knowledge.
• Provide on-call (after hours) and weekend production support on a rotational basis.
• Participate in design, development, testing and enhancements to existing applications.
• Understand and apply the bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Content Solutions globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Participate in the production of implementation strategies through creation of functional specification documents to support users. and presentation of proposed changes to applicable international audiences
• Provide on-call (after hours) and weekend production support on a rotational basis.
• Participate in design, development, testing, development of new solutions or enhancements to existing applications.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
