Job summary

FPS Innovation Labs, a global IT solutions provider, seeks a Junior IT Support (Contractor) to assist clients with hardware and software issues. The candidate will work onsite in Bogotá, Colombia, handling hardware installations, software upgrades, and basic system integrations to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in desktop support, strong problem solving, and solid communication skills to assist users effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of Desktop Support experience across hardware, software, and networks.
• Basic understanding of hardware, Windows/macOS/Linux, and software apps.
• Familiarity with Wi‑Fi, LAN, TCP/IP networking basics.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Clear verbal and written communication; explain tech to non‑tech users.
• Customer service orientation with patience and empathy.
• Strong time management to handle multiple requests.
• eagerness to learn and stay updated with tech.
• Attention to detail in following procedures and documenting steps.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Adaptability to new tools, systems, and environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.
• Perform basic account management tasks including password resets.
• Support installation and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals and software.
• Assist in installing and upgrading operating systems and software under supervision.
• Help troubleshoot basic networking and connectivity issues.
• Provide basic training and guidance to users on computer operations.
• Respond to and document client support requests.
• Collaborate with senior team members to implement site-wide solutions.
