Auxis is seeking a Sr. NOC Analyst (Patching) to lead patch management across a 60-site estate in the US, Canada, and Latin America. You will plan, schedule, deploy, verify, and report on patch cycles, coordinating with Systems, Network, and Security teams to ensure timely remediation within change management processes.

You will mentor junior staff, improve runbooks, and work after-hours and weekends on a rotating basis to support continuous operations in a global managed services environment.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years in NOC operations, systems administration, or infrastructure operations with patch management responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise patching tools (e.g., SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Ivanti, BigFix, or Linux patching tooling).
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration fundamentals.
  • Experience operating within ITIL change management for scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management concepts and remediation prioritization.
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation of executed work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+).
  • Availability to work after-hours and weekend patching windows on a rotating basis.

Responsabilidades

  • Own the execution of the recurring patch management calendar for the managed server estate (Windows and Linux).
  • Coordinate patching windows through the Change Management process, with change records and rollback plans.
  • Track patch compliance against timelines and remediation SLAs; produce compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate with Systems Engineer Lead and Tower D engineers on patch sequencing for critical workloads.
  • Partner with Security/vulnerability management to prioritize remediation.
  • Troubleshoot failed patch deployments and escalate when needed.
  • Provide senior-level NOC monitoring and event management during shifts; triage and first-response diagnostics.
  • Mentor NOC Analysts on patching procedures and client environment.
  • Maintain and improve patching runbooks, SOPs, and automation scripts.
  • Support maintenance-window coordination with site contacts and vendors.

Job Summary

The NOC Analyst Sr. (Patching) is a senior member of Auxis' shared 24x7 Network Operations Center supporting the Mosaic Infrastructure Managed Services engagement, with a dedicated focus on patch management across the client's server and infrastructure estate spanning roughly 60 sites in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay. This role plans, schedules, executes, and verifies patching cycles in coordination with the Systems, Network, and Security teams, ensuring vulnerabilities are remediated within agreed timelines and patching activity is executed safely through the account's change management process. The role also provides senior-level monitoring and event management coverage within the NOC.

Responsibilities
  • Own the execution of the recurring patch management calendar for the managed server estate (Windows and Linux), including planning, scheduling, deployment, verification, and reporting.
  • Coordinate patching windows through the Change Management process, preparing change records, rollback plans, and post-implementation verification evidence.
  • Track patch compliance against agreed timelines and vulnerability remediation SLAs, producing compliance reporting for the NOC Lead and Security stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Systems Engineer Lead and Tower D engineers on patch sequencing for critical or sensitive workloads, including pre/post health checks.
  • Partner with the Security/vulnerability management function to prioritize remediation of identified vulnerabilities across the estate.
  • Troubleshoot failed patch deployments, driving them to resolution or escalating to the appropriate resolver team.
  • Provide senior-level NOC monitoring and event management coverage during assigned shifts, including alert triage, first-response diagnostics, and escalation.
  • Mentor NOC Analysts on patching procedures, monitoring tools, and the client environment.
  • Maintain and improve patching runbooks, SOPs, and automation scripts.
  • Support maintenance-window coordination with site contacts and third-party vendors where required.
Skills And Experience
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in NOC operations, systems administration, or infrastructure operations, including hands-on patch management responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise patching tools (e.g., SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Ivanti, BigFix, or Linux patching tooling).
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration fundamentals.
  • Experience operating within ITIL change management for scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management concepts and remediation prioritization.
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation of executed work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English B2+.
  • Availability to work scheduled after-hours and weekend patching windows on a rotating basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning platforms (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar).
  • Scripting skills for patch automation and reporting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience in a managed services environment supporting enterprise clients.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese a plus.
Technical Skills & Tools
  • Patching platforms: SCCM/MECM, WSUS, and/or Linux patch management tooling.
  • Monitoring and event management tools (SolarWinds or similar).
  • ITSM/ticketing and change management platforms (ServiceNow or equivalent).
  • Scripting for automation and reporting (PowerShell, Bash) a plus.
  • Vulnerability management platforms (Tenable, Qualys, or similar) a plus.
