Auxis is seeking a Network Engineer Lead to direct day-to-day network operations for the Mosaic Infrastructure Managed Services engagement. You will oversee a team responsible for routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless across roughly 60 sites in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong enterprise routing and switching expertise across multi-site WAN/LAN.
  • Hands-on firewall administration experience (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
  • ITIL change and incident management knowledge.
  • Experience in multi-country or multi-region environments.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the day-to-day network engineering team, prioritizing tickets, changes, and projects.
  • Provide hands-on senior engineering support for complex routing, switching, and firewall issues.
  • Own network change management per ITIL practices from planning to execution.
  • Collaborate with Network Architect to implement designs, standards, and lifecycle plans.
  • Oversee firewall administration and security policy management.
  • Coordinate wireless support with engineers specializing in Cisco/Cambium.
  • Support voice/network integration, coordinating with Voice Engineer on CUCM/Teams Calling transitions.
  • Monitor capacity and performance, recommending upgrades as needed.
  • Serve as escalation point for major incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor and onboard junior/senior engineers, building skills in the client environment.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration standards.
  • Ensure compliance with client and Auxis security policies across the estate.

Job Summary

Network Engineer Lead leads day-to-day network engineering operations for the Mosaic Infrastructure Managed Services engagement, overseeing a team responsible for routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless across roughly 60 sites in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay. This role combines hands-on senior engineering work with team leadership, ensuring the network environment is stable, secure, and performing to SLA, while mentoring Senior and Junior Network Engineers and coordinating closely with the Network Architect on design and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day work of the network engineering team, assigning and prioritizing tickets, changes, and projects across Network Engineer Sr. and Jr. staff.
  • Provide hands-on senior-level engineering support for complex routing, switching, and firewall issues that require escalation beyond Tier 2/3.
  • Own network change management for the account, including planning, risk assessment, peer review, and execution of scheduled changes in line with ITIL change management practices.
  • Partner with the Network Architect to implement network designs, standards, and lifecycle/refresh plans across the multi-country site footprint.
  • Oversee firewall administration and security policy management across the environment's firewall estate, ensuring configurations follow security best practices.
  • Coordinate wireless network support and troubleshooting, working with Senior Network Engineers who carry explicit wireless expertise (Cisco and Cambium environments).
  • Support voice/network integration activities, including coordination with the Voice Engineer team on CUCM decommission and related transition work.
  • Monitor network capacity and performance trends, recommending headroom or upgrade actions in coordination with the Consolidated Volume & Headroom model.
  • Serve as an escalation point for major network incidents, driving root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Mentor and develop Network Engineer Sr. and Jr. staff, including onboarding to the client environment and ongoing technical skill-building.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and configuration standards.
  • Ensure compliance with client and Auxis security policies across the managed network estate.
Required Qualifications
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching (Cisco preferred) across multi-site WAN/LAN environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of ITIL change and incident management processes.
  • Experience supporting multi-country or multi-region network environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills for complex, multi-layer network issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP or equivalent professional-level networking certification.
  • Experience with wireless networking platforms (Cisco, Cambium, or similar).
  • Experience supporting voice/UC platforms (Cisco Call Manager/CUCM, Teams Calling) or coordinating with voice engineering teams.
  • Experience in a managed services or outsourced IT delivery environment supporting enterprise clients.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese is a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
Technical Skills & Tools
  • Cisco routing and switching (IOS/IOS-XE); firewall platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
  • Wireless platforms (Cisco, Cambium).
  • Network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds or similar).
  • ITSM/ticketing and change management platforms (ServiceNow or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with voice/UC platforms (CUCM, Teams Calling) a plus.
