Auxis, a leading systems integrator, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide technical leadership and support for client network environments in Bogotá. You will architect, automate, and optimize complex networks, mentor junior engineers, and oversee both cloud and on-prem solutions.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in networking, hands-on Azure and AWS experience, and are comfortable with 24x7 on-call rotations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for solutioning, automating, resolving escalated service issues, mentoring junior engineers, engineering and implementing complex changes, and overseeing efficient operations management.

Job Summary

The Network Engineer Sr. is responsible for providing technical leadership, administering and supporting client network environments according to best practices, and ensuring high network availability and performance. In this role, you will be responsible for solutioning, automating, resolving escalated service issues, mentoring junior engineers, engineering and implementing complex changes, and overseeing efficient operations management.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 troubleshooting for escalated support issues related to data center and server operations.
• Design and define operating runbooks to maintain network performance and reliability.
• Coach and support other engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Perform a root cause analysis to maintain the quality and efficiency standards.
• Assist in delivering new client migrations and complex projects.
• Lead the implementation and maintenance of cloud and on-premises network solutions.
• Offer recommendations to enhance client network environments and technologies.
• Support the sales team in solutioning opportunities through customer meetings and executive presentations.
• Manage complex technical problems and ensure compliance with Auxis operating processes.
• Provide monthly analytics reports on team performance and capacity.
• Oversee the execution of technical training programs for the team.
• Maintain awareness of current and emerging technologies relevant to networking and related operations.
• Make recommendations for performance improvements and automation to enhance operations.

Skills And Experience

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience in networking, cloud infrastructure, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with large and complex server-based and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Willingness and availability to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of network security methods and configuration requirements for network devices.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud networking environments and technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware, and VPN technologies, including L2L, Remote Access, AnyConnect, or similar solutions.
• Experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, application transport, and client-server environments.
• Strong knowledge of data communications technologies, network architectures, platforms, protocols, diagnostic tools, and monitoring technologies.
• Experience working with network monitoring and troubleshooting protocols and tools, including ICMP, SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog.
• Advanced knowledge of networking, security, and wireless protocols.
• Understanding of network infrastructure design, hardware, and connectivity.
• Ability to create and maintain network diagrams.
• Experience designing and implementing medium- to large-scale network environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management principles.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL CERTIFICATIONS

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification.
• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.
• Azure Network Engineer or AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
• Linux Essentials certification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• English proficiency at B2+ level or higher.
