Collins Aerospace is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II to support the rollout of a new SMT production line for PCB assembly. You will commission equipment, optimize SMT processes, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to transition the line to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under the program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, qualification, and acceptance of a new SMT production line.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to establish reliable SMT processes.
• Provide technical support for solder paste printing, SPI/AOI, pick-and-place, and reflow equipment.
• Develop and maintain SMT programs, feeders, coordinates, and process parameters.
• Conduct process trials and first-article builds to establish stable manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and throughput.
• Develop thermal profiles and analyze product complexity.
• Create manufacturing documentation and SOPs; support NPI and line balancing.
• Train personnel and identify automation opportunities to advance manufacturing technology.
