Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Project Technician III to support the development, validation, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment at our onsite Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico location.

You will analyze product specifications, troubleshoot production issues, implement mistake-proofing solutions, and improve methods to ensure quality and compliance with customer requirements. This role supports 2nd shift operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or AA/AS with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to communicate in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize manufacturing test processes to meet specs and customer expectations.
• Analyze drawings and requirements to ensure manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Implement mistake-proofing solutions to reduce defects and strengthen controls.
• Support early detection of failures by analyzing results and identifying issues before they affect production.
• Participate in first-article builds, engineering runs, and process validations to establish stable processes.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical guidance to production staff on equipment and procedures.
• Maintain accurate procedures and revision-controlled records for compliance.
