Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leading RTX company, seeks a skilled Machinist at its Santa Isabel, PR site. You will set up and run CNC and conventional machines, interpret drawings, and ensure precision per GD&T standards.

The role requires problem solving, tool selection, and collaboration with engineering teams to optimize processes. Ideal candidates will have HS/GED with experience in fixtures and tooling, strong English/Spanish communication, and citizenship per program requirements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Perform high-precision machining and optimize CNC programs
• Select tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds for machining operations
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools, including CMM
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues
• Support process improvements and assist engineering teams
• Maintain equipment, document work, and follow safety and quality standards
