Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Machinist at its Santa Isabel, PR location to produce precision machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders. The role requires residing in Puerto Rico at start; relocation is not offered.

You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, inspect produced work, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. English/Spanish communication is required, and U.S.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience
• Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, design sketches, and GD&T to determine requirements.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts using mechanical equipment.
• Measure materials and select appropriate machines and tools for each process.
• Perform machining setups and make necessary adjustments during operations.
• Program various CNC machines as required.
• Operate and transition between multiple machines, including CNC, Drill, and other precision equipment.
• Conduct inspections of produced work to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Review SPC charts and apply gauing and measurement practices.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all quality and safety standards.
