AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Dispatcher I to oversee pickup and delivery of local shipments and to coordinate and communicate shipment information between drivers and delivery agents. The role focuses on routing, tracking milestones, and providing top-tier customer service to meet client needs.

You will document events, manage dock checks, and support daily dispatch activities with strong attention to detail and teamwork across the local operations team.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination or transportation management industry.
• Familiarity with final mile delivery operations and routing software (DispatchTrack, Onfleet, Roadnet).
• Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with abilities to develop new ideas and innovative solutions.
• High attention to details and organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)

Responsabilidades

• Oversee routing local freight, dispatch drivers, perform dock checks, track shipments, and coordinate with dock staff to ensure freight movement.
• Enter shipment milestones promptly into tracking systems (pickup, delivery, POD) and verify accuracy.
• Provide customer service to identify needs, answer inquiries, and address concerns or complaints.
• Assign driver load planning based on local mapping and appointments.
• Identify and coordinate prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.

The Dispatcher I is responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight.
• Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into tracking systems – pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery.
• Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints.
• Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly.
• Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination or transportation management industry.
• Familiarity with final mile delivery operations and routing software (e.g., DispatchTrack, Onfleet, Roadnet).
• Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with abilities to develop new ideas and innovative solutions.
• High attention to details and organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
